Shady-Nook

Shady-Nook Manufactured Homes, Inc. was founded in 1983 by James and Jodi Kirincich. We are located in Elwood, Illinois which is a small farm community 8 miles south of route 80 and just off of Route 53 on St. Louis Street. The original community consisted of 17 home sites and a site built home. Since 1983 we have purchased a 26 site community with a site built house that was located next to Shady-Nook. We have also purchased and developed a 13 acre parcel that was farm land to the south of us. On this parcel we have put in paved roads with curb and gutter and street lighting. The homes in this 50 site addition are mostly multi section homes with garages.

The homes located in our new addition all have a full concrete pad under them, 5/12 pitch roofs and up, paved driveways, seeded or sodded yards, and we plant a tree in each yard and install R-Co brick skirting on each home. To keep our costs down we do not offer a Club house or Pool, but instead a safe, quite and affordable community to live in.

We also own a small community called Riverside West which is located in Wilmington, IL on the Kankakee River.  This community has also gone through a total renovation a few years ago.  Our tenants take pride in there homes and it shows.
